Dr. B.J. Rimel has been a staff physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center since 2011 and serves as the associate director of the clinical research office at the medical center’s Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute. She has been heavily involved with the development of Research for Her™, Cedars-Sinai’s groundbreaking online registry that matches women with research studies and clinical trials. Established to encourage more participation of women in clinical research trials, the registry has been successfully enrolling study participants more quickly than traditional paper-based registries.
Rimel has published and has made multiple speaking presentations about clinical trials and recruitment. A graduate of the Duke University School of Medicine, Rimel is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology for both obstetrics and gynecology and gynecologic oncology.
