Joshua C. Rubin, JD, MBA, MPH, MPP, serves as program officer for learning health system initiatives at the University of Michigan Medical School’s first-in-the-nation Department of Learning Health Sciences. Previously, Rubin served as executive director of the Joseph H. Kanter Family Foundation, the only philanthropic foundation founded by a patient, with the mission of realizing the learning health system vision. Rubin has also served as a senior policy fellow at eHealth Initiative and as a senior consultant at IBM Global Business Services, working at the intersection of the health information technology, health care policy, consumer engagement and public health arenas.

Rubin obtained his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar. He also holds an MBA and an MPP from Georgetown University and an MPH from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, all with health care concentrations.
