Dr. Hugh Levaux brings nearly 20 years of dedicated experience in clinical trial design and operations, as well as web-based technologies, to his role as founder and CEO of Protocol First, which offers an innovative EDC platform for next-generation clinical trials. Previously, he held executive-level positions at United BioSource Corporation, Medidata Solutions, Ninaza and Quintiles Transnational, and he also has developed and commercialized multiple eClinical technologies in EDC, IVR/RTSM, ePRO/eCOA and trial-related technologies.

Prior to his career in the clinical trials industry, Levaux was an analyst at the RAND Corporation. Fluent in English, French, Spanish and Japanese, he holds master’s degrees in international economics and international relations from SAIS at Johns Hopkins University and in international politics from Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium. He also has a doctorate in policy analysis from the RAND Graduate School.
