Greg Simon is president of the Biden Cancer Initiative, which seeks to accelerate progress in cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, research and care and to reduce disparities in cancer outcomes. Previously, Simon was selected by Vice President Joe Biden to serve as the executive director of the White House Cancer Moonshot Task Force, which was created by President Barack Obama. In that role, Simon and his team helped launch over 70 innovative collaborations in nine months.

Between 1993 and 1997, Simon served as Vice President Al Gore’s chief domestic policy advisor. He has also been the CEO of Poliwogg, a financial services company that creates unique capital market opportunities in health care and life sciences; senior vice president for worldwide policy and patient engagement at Pfizer; co-founder of FasterCures/The Center for Accelerating Medical Solutions; and co-founder of the Melanoma Research Alliance. A cancer survivor, Simon has been recently successfully treated for chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
