Hidehisa Soejima is the director of Saiseikai Kumamoto Prefecture Branch, former director of the Saiseikai Kumamoto Hospital and currently serves as a chairperson for the Japanese Society for Clinical Pathways and the Kumamoto branch of the Japan Hospital Association. Soejima introduced clinical pathways to Saiseikai Kumamoto Hospital in 1996 and medical quality has improved ever since.
Since 2012, in collaboration with NEC, Soejima helped to develop NECV (Nobel Electronic Clinical pathway Viewer) as a variance collection, analysis and visualization system. As a result, efficient data collection, big data formation and various analyses became possible. He earned his MD and PhD from the Kumamoto University School of Medicine.
